How long does aestheticeyelid surgery take?

If the upper eyelids alone are to be done, local anaesthesia may be sufficient and it takes about 45 minutes. The lower eyelids take about 1.5 hours, and in addition to local anaesthesia, sedatives, which we call sedation, also need to be used. If fat injection is also performed at the same time, lower-upper eyelid surgery can take up to 3 hours. Taking patients' comfort into account, if the lower and upper eyelids are to be done together, general anaesthesia may be preferred.
