A Medical, Scientific and Human Approach
My Approach
No single method gives the same good result in every patient. Each technique was developed for patients in a particular situation and has its own advantages and disadvantages. That is why I decide on the method for you only after listening to you, understanding your expectations and completing your examination.
As plastic surgeons we are not artists but craftsmen: we are obliged to master our craft and give our patients the best care. We achieve success by giving our patients the utmost care, finding solutions to the problems we encounter and keeping up with advances.

Evidence-Based Medicine
Aesthetic judgement guides surgical decisions, but they must rest on scientific evidence.

Curriculum Vitae
Education andacademic career.
I graduated from the English-language programme of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. At the same university I completed my specialist training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2003 and the Advanced Plastic Surgery doctoral programme in 2008.
In 2006–2007 I worked in the USA as a clinical fellow in craniofacial surgery. In addition to my specialisation in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, I completed specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and subspecialty training in Hand Surgery. I became associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2014, and worked for 10 years as a faculty member at Acıbadem University School of Medicine.
I have contributed as a consulting faculty member to two different craniofacial councils. I have more than fifty publications in the world's leading international medical journals and have served as a peer reviewer for more than ten journals, including Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Burns, International Journal of Dermatology and Lasers in Medical Science. I have also served on the editorial board of The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal.
I hold Turkish and European board certifications in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. We also take part in social responsibility projects abroad for cleft lip and palate repair. I am married and a father of three.

- A study published in 2016 in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the official journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, received the journal's Best Experimental Paper award for that year (2017).
- Four first prizes and one second prize at the national congress of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
