About Laser Lipolysis

What is Laser Lipolysis?

If cells in the human body are damaged at a microscopic level above a certain threshold, then even if the cell does not die at first, the body does not enter a repair process and the programmed death of the cell (apoptosis) begins.

Lasers are high-technology devices that emit light at a single wavelength. Because they emit light energy at only one wavelength, the light energy sent is absorbed by only one colour and releases the highest heat energy in the area where it is absorbed. In addition, depending on how long the beam is delivered, it is also possible to adjust how the tissues surrounding the tissue that absorbs the beam will be affected by the resulting heat energy.

The right method for you is decided together after an examination.

The beam emitted by Nd:YAG lasers is absorbed to the highest degree by the colour red. For this reason, when this laser is fired at the skin, the beams that pass through the skin without damaging it are absorbed by the red blood cells inside the vessels in the deep tissues and converted into heat energy.

If Nd:YAG laser systems are applied over the skin so that the deep tissues are heated while the skin is kept cool so that it is not affected by the heat at the same time, programmed cell death (apoptosis) can be initiated in the deep fat tissue after a certain application. The procedure of reducing fat cells in this controlled way, without any incision or intervention in the skin (without breaking the integrity of the skin), using only laser beams applied onto the skin, is called LASER LIPOLYSIS. In addition, since tightening will also occur in the subcutaneous tissues as a result of the procedure, the skin also contracts in parallel with the reduced fat volume, and a better cosmetic result is obtained.

Laser lipolysis is useful especially for removing fat accumulated in a very limited area of the body (such as the double chin area or the arms). It can also be applied to areas such as the abdomen, waist and legs, but I would like to underline that its effect cannot be as great as surgical liposuction or surgical laser-assisted liposuction.
