About ReCell Cell Spray
What is Cell Spray (ReCell) Application?
Healing of open wounds and burn areas as quickly as possible is desirable both to ensure patient comfort and to improve the quality of the scar that remains after wound healing.
Covering wound and burn areas that are expected to take a long time to close by themselves with skin patches taken from different parts of the patient (skin grafting) is a method that has been known and applied in Plastic Surgery for very many years.
In the cell spray application, enzymes are applied to a piece of skin the size of a postage stamp taken from the patient, the cells are separated from one another and brought into suspension in a liquid. Then, when these cells are sprayed onto the wound, each cell that adheres to the wound bed begins to divide and multiply there and to close the wound. Thanks to this, cells that are nourished from the wound bed by free diffusion have a higher chance of survival at the site where they are applied than a skin patch, and since healing begins across the entire wound at the same time, it progresses much faster.
Since the person's own skin cells are used in the cell spray application, there is no risk of the procedure transmitting diseases spread between people through tissue or blood. In addition, again because the person's own tissues are used, there is no risk of allergy.
With this application, scarring is reduced and rapid healing is achieved. The risk of wound infection is reduced.
