What is 4D Laser Face Lift?
Lasers are high-technology devices with the property of emitting light at a single wavelength. Because they emit light energy at only a single wavelength, the light energy sent is absorbed by only one colour and releases the highest heat energy in the area where it is absorbed. In addition, depending on how long the beam is delivered, it is also possible to adjust how the tissues surrounding the tissue in which the beam is absorbed will be affected by the heat energy that is released.
With this logic, lasers specific to the purpose for which they will be used are produced.
Since the beam energy produced by Er:YAG or carbon dioxide lasers is highly absorbed by water, when the skin is treated with these lasers the beam is absorbed by the cells in the very top layer of the skin and heat energy is released. For this reason these lasers are used in skin peeling and skin rejuvenation procedures.
The type of laser called Nd:YAG, on the other hand, is absorbed most by the colour red. For this reason, when the skin is treated with this laser, the beams, which easily pass through the skin without causing any damage, are absorbed by the red blood cells within the vessels in the deep tissues and converted into heat energy. In this way these lasers can be used in the treatment of capillary veins under the skin, and by adjusting the amount of energy and the time taken for the energy to be converted into heat, they can also be used for deep heating procedures.
When facial rejuvenation procedures are performed with the Fotona Dynamics platform, which incorporates Er:YAG/Nd:YAG laser systems at the same time, skin renewal and tightening can be performed through more than one mechanism. When the Er:YAG laser system is applied to the oral mucosa using the appropriate handpiece, tightening is first performed on the inner (mouth) side of the cheek. Then, with the Nd:YAG system, the skin side is treated in FRAC3 mode, and by deep heating the cells of the skin that synthesise connective tissue are stimulated and rejuvenation is achieved. In the third stage, with the Nd:YAG system, the skin side is treated in PIANO mode and the skin tightening procedure is completed. Finally, the Er:YAG laser system is applied to the skin using the appropriate handpiece, and by performing a superficial peel the skin is peeled and superficial pigmentation and wrinkles in the skin are removed. The combined effect of these four applications is a result that addresses all layers of the face and has a more widespread effect than a single application.
